Ingredients
1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, cold and cut into small cubes
Instructions
In a medium bowl, combine the light brown sugar, all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
Add the cold, cubed unsalted butter to the dry ingredients.
Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the butter into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs with pea-sized pieces.
