Ingredients
1 pound ground turkey
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 cup chicken broth
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
Add the minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add the ground turkey to the skillet, breaking it up with a spatula.
Cook the turkey until browned and no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes.
Stir in the dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and crushed red pepper flakes.
Add the tomato paste and chicken broth, stirring to combine.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and serve warm with your choice of side dishes.
