Ingredients
2 chicken leg quarters (leg and thigh attached), about 1 pound total
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Pat the chicken leg quarters dry with paper towels.
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Rub olive oil evenly over the chicken pieces.
Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken, pressing gently to adhere.
Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the chicken leg quarters skin-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overcrowding.
Cook at 380°F (193°C) for 12 minutes.
Flip the chicken pieces skin-side up and continue cooking for an additional 13 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 5 minutes before serving.
