Chocolate Chip Cookies in the Air Fryer

  • Total Time: 18 minutes
  • Yield: 12 cookies 1x

Description

Quick and easy chocolate chip cookies baked to perfection in an air fryer. Crispy on the edges and chewy in the center, these cookies are perfect for a fast homemade treat without heating up the oven.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to cream the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and light brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
Add the egg and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and beat until combined.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the semisweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
Preheat the air fryer to 320°F (160°C) for 3 minutes.
Line the air fryer basket with parchment paper or a silicone liner to prevent sticking.
Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of cookie dough and place them in the air fryer basket, leaving about 2 inches of space between each cookie to allow for spreading. Depending on the size of your air fryer, cook in batches if necessary.
Air fry the cookies at 320°F (160°C) for 7 to 8 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the centers look set but still soft.
Carefully remove the cookies from the air fryer and let them cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving.
