A simple and delicious recipe for crispy air fryer tofu that’s perfect as a snack, side dish, or protein addition to any meal. This tofu is golden, crunchy on the outside, and tender on the inside without deep frying.
Ingredients
14 ounces extra firm tofu, pressed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture. Then cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes.
In a large bowl, whisk together soy sauce and sesame oil until combined.
Add the tofu cubes to the bowl and gently toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 5 minutes.
In a separate small bowl, combine cornstarch, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Sprinkle the cornstarch mixture over the marinated tofu and toss gently until all pieces are evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Place the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
Once golden and crispy, remove the tofu from the air fryer and serve immediately.
