Cheese Stuffed Bread Bites

Description

Deliciously gooey and crispy cheese stuffed bread bites perfect as a snack or appetizer. These bite-sized treats are easy to make and packed with melted cheese inside a golden crust.

12 slices white sandwich bread
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Using a rolling pin, flatten each slice of bread until thin but still intact.
In a small bowl, combine the shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheeses.
Place about 1 tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of each flattened bread slice.
Fold the bread slice over the cheese to form a small pouch and press the edges firmly to seal. You can pinch the edges or use a fork to crimp them.
Place the sealed bread bites on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down.
In a separate small bowl, mix the melted butter with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and salt.
Brush the tops and sides of each bread bite with the seasoned melted butter.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes or until the bread bites are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
