Sweet & Sticky Teriyaki Meatballs are a delightful combination of savory and sweet flavors, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, green onions, egg, garlic powder, ginger, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. In a small saucepan, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and sesame oil. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
  6. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the meatballs.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • These meatballs can be served as an appetizer or over rice as a main dish.
