Ingredients

- 2 large sweet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup milk
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into chunks.
- Boil the sweet potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
- Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and cinnamon (if using) to the sweet potatoes.
- Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth and creamy.
- Serve warm as a side dish.
Notes
- For a vegan version, substitute butter with olive oil or vegan butter.
- Adjust the milk quantity for desired creaminess.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
