Description

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Peel and chop the sweet potatoes into chunks.
  2. Boil the sweet potatoes in a pot of salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.
  3. Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add butter, milk, salt, pepper, and cinnamon (if using) to the sweet potatoes.
  5. Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth and creamy.
  6. Serve warm as a side dish.

Notes

  • For a vegan version, substitute butter with olive oil or vegan butter.
  • Adjust the milk quantity for desired creaminess.
