Description

Pecan Pie Bars are a delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines the rich flavors of pecan pie in a convenient bar form.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup corn syrup
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, butter, sugar, and salt to form a crust.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake the crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
  5. In another bowl, mix together the chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  6. Pour the pecan mixture over the baked crust.
  7. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until set.
  8. Allow to cool before cutting into bars.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, toast the pecans before adding them to the mixture.
  • These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week.
