Crispy and juicy low carb chicken thighs cooked to perfection in the air fryer. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick, healthy meal with minimal prep and no added carbs.
Ingredients
4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs (about 1.5 pounds)
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels to ensure crispy skin.
In a small bowl, mix together garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
Rub olive oil evenly over each chicken thigh.
Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over both sides of the chicken thighs, pressing gently to adhere.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
Place the chicken thighs skin side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer without overlapping.
Cook for 10 minutes at 400°F (200°C).
Flip the chicken thighs so the skin side is up and cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the skin is crispy.
Remove the chicken thighs from the air fryer and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
