Instant Pot Carne Asada is a flavorful and tender beef dish that is perfect for tacos, burritos, or served with rice.
Ingredients

- 2 lbs flank steak
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeño, chopped
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup lime juice
- 2 teaspoons cumin
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Set the Instant Pot to sauté mode and heat the olive oil.
- Add the chopped onion and garlic, and sauté until softened.
- Season the flank steak with salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, and oregano.
- Add the seasoned steak to the pot and sear on both sides.
- Pour in the beef broth and lime juice, then add the chopped jalapeño.
- Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to high pressure for 30 minutes.
- Once done, allow for natural release for 10 minutes, then quick release any remaining pressure.
- Remove the steak, shred it with two forks, and return it to the pot to soak up the juices.
- Serve in tacos, burritos, or over rice.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the steak overnight.
- Adjust the spice level by adding more or less jalapeño.
- This dish can be served with various toppings like avocado, cilantro, and salsa.
