A delicious and comforting dessert made with tart cranberries and sweet apples, topped with a crunchy oat and brown sugar crumble.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups sliced apples
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the cranberries and sliced apples.
  3. Add 1/2 cup of brown sugar and mix well.
  4. In another bowl, mix the oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Pour the melted butter into the oat mixture and stir until crumbly.
  6. Spread the cranberry-apple mixture in a baking dish and top with the oat crumble.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the fruit is bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for an extra treat.
