High Protein Chicken Fries

  • Total Time: 30 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Crispy, high-protein chicken fries made with lean chicken breast coated in a flavorful, protein-packed batter. Perfect as a snack or appetizer for a healthy boost.

Ingredients

Scale

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into thin strips
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup egg whites
1 cup oat flour
1/4 cup unflavored whey protein powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt and egg whites. Mix well until smooth.
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the oat flour, whey protein powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
Dip each chicken strip into the yogurt and egg white mixture, then dredge it thoroughly in the oat flour and protein powder mixture, pressing gently to coat evenly.
Place the coated chicken fries on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
Drizzle the olive oil evenly over the chicken fries to help them crisp up during baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken fries are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
