Crock Pot Chicken Wings

  • Total Time: 3 hours 40 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Tender and flavorful chicken wings slow-cooked in a crock pot and tossed in a tangy buffalo sauce. Perfect for game day or a delicious appetizer.

Ingredients

Scale

2 pounds chicken wings, tips removed and wings separated at the joint
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoon honey

Instructions

Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels.
In a large bowl, season the chicken wings with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Toss to coat evenly.
Place the seasoned chicken wings into the crock pot in a single layer as much as possible.
Cover and cook on low for 3 to 3 1/2 hours, until the wings are cooked through and tender.
While the wings are cooking, in a small saucepan over low heat, combine the buffalo wing sauce, unsalted butter, and honey. Stir until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth. Remove from heat.
Once the wings are done cooking, carefully remove them from the crock pot and place them in a large mixing bowl.
Pour the buffalo sauce mixture over the wings and toss well to coat all wings evenly.
Serve immediately with celery sticks and ranch or blue cheese dressing if desired.
