- 1 loaf of French bread, cubed
- 2 cups of fresh cranberries
- 1 cup of orange juice
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup of milk
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon of salt
- Zest of 1 orange
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, salt, and orange zest.
- Add the cubed French bread and cranberries to the egg mixture, stirring to combine.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For a sweeter dish, add more sugar or maple syrup.
- Can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
- Serve with whipped cream or syrup for added flavor.
