Potsticker Soup

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4

Description

A comforting soup featuring tender pork and cabbage potstickers simmered in a clear soy sauce and ginger broth with crisp baby bok choy and garnished with green onions and sesame oil.

Ingredients

Potstickers (dumplings filled with ground pork and cabbage) – 16 pieces
Chicken broth – 6 cups
Soy sauce – 3 tablespoons
Fresh ginger slices – 5 thin slices
Garlic – 3 cloves, minced
Green onions – 3, thinly sliced
Baby bok choy – 4 small heads, halved
Sesame oil – 1 tablespoon

Instructions

In a large pot, bring chicken broth to a boil over medium-high heat.
Add fresh ginger slices, minced garlic, and soy sauce to the broth. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes to infuse flavors.
Add potstickers carefully to the simmering broth. Cook for 6-8 minutes or until dumplings float and are fully cooked.
Add halved baby bok choy to the pot and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until crisp-tender.
Remove ginger slices from the broth. Drizzle sesame oil into the soup and stir gently.
Ladle soup into deep white bowls, ensuring potstickers are submerged and bok choy is arranged neatly on top.
Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
