Homemade One Pot Spaghettios and Meatballs

  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 4 1x

Description

Soft pasta and tender ground beef meatballs simmered together in a smooth tomato sauce with Italian herbs, served in a rustic, homestyle presentation.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb ground beef
8 oz spaghetti pasta
1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cups water

Instructions

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sauté until softened.
Add ground beef to the pot and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces.
Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
Add water and bring the mixture to a simmer.
Break spaghetti pasta in half and add to the simmering sauce, stirring to submerge the pasta.
Cover and simmer gently, stirring occasionally, until pasta is soft and meatballs are cooked through, about 20 minutes.
Stir in grated parmesan cheese just before serving.
Serve in shallow white bowls with meatballs evenly distributed and sauce coating the pasta.
