Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cans (15 oz each) kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 can (28 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
  3. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, and paprika, cooking for another minute.
  4. Add the crushed tomatoes, kidney beans, and beef broth to the pot.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, then bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat and let simmer for at least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with your favorite toppings.

Notes

  • For a spicier chili, add diced jalapeños or cayenne pepper.
