Ingredients
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup plain unsweetened plant-based milk (such as almond or oat milk)
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes.
In a shallow bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Pour the plant-based milk into a separate shallow bowl.
Place the panko breadcrumbs in a third shallow bowl.
Dip each shrimp first into the seasoned flour mixture, coating evenly and shaking off excess.
Next, dip the shrimp into the plant-based milk, ensuring it is fully coated.
Finally, press the shrimp into the panko breadcrumbs, covering completely.
Place the coated shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Lightly drizzle or spray the shrimp with olive oil to help crisp the coating.
Cook the shrimp in the air fryer at 400°F (200°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
Remove the shrimp from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
